...to proof that I had applied to renew for my work visa and temporary resident permit.
I took with me a receipt that I used to pay for the processing fees and handed it over to front desk. The front desk person said she was not familiar with exactly what the the officer wanted and so she went to talk to the officer with my submission.
They talked excitedly for a couple minutes and then the officer came out. I have never seen her before. They have changed my workers like four times if not more since 11 years ago.
She seemed pleasant but I am not easily deceived. She said it was funny that I should show up today as it is only today she received an email from Vegreville saying that my temporary resident permit and work visa had been approved. I knew about the work visa but not the temporary resident permit. She continued to hand me back the paper work I had taken and said to me that I am almost being granted and that I should get a letter soon. She even winked at me.
I will believe it when I see it.

Thats wonderful news and good to hear that u got all approved and set up but as u said believe when u see as u just never know with the Government what will happen but i think and it seems u are close to the end of your long road of the red tape bullshit and i hope that sometime in the year 2010 this all settles down and u get your permanent card that would be the best 2010 ever yes i'm a bit bedridden and i tired to get a care page delivered to me but it was a no go go figure ay wont come to Sooke so i guess when the delivery is expanded maybe but by then i will likely be better and yea me and the wife was there at the club not to long ago she had to come in and help me as i wasn't moving to well so yea what can u do i will say that if i was a driver i would come to Sooke or any place that was required to take medication to someone but anyhow u have a good New Years and take care and i hope to see u soon if i can ever get outta this god forsaken bad heath shoot till then
