I cannot believe this...
Stay with me.
Here is a conversation I had on face-book.
You recall, I got my permanence residence in Canada on Jan. 12,10, praise the Lord! There was an error on the original date of entry. '06 instead of '96. Immigration Officer Lori Wilson, disregarded it.She said it is a process to change that and I should not bother.By Feb 26,10 I found the form, filled it out.Lawyer ha...d signed his part by Mar. 12,10 and today I am out to mail everything.Lesson learned, never give up.

Officer Lori Wilson is NOT the one who will have trouble getting back in the country because of inconsistent information. That day I realized the immigration worker's job is not to get you in the country, it is to make it as hard as possible to get in. Officer Lori Wilson was doing her job and I am doing mine...God above us all...

I also had to include a pre paid express self addressed envelope so that my original document can be sent back. I asked for signature for that as well. I hate to part with my originals...

Now, this is a conversation held on face-book. I indeed posted my "Request to Amend the Record of Landing or the Confirmation of Permanent Residence." I was given a receipt at the post office and I put it on my desk so that I can check if my documents arrived safely. And they did and were signed for.
Today when I went to look for the receipt so that I can check how fast the return envelop is getting here, I could not find the receipt. I panicked because I know it a grievous mistake the government of Canada did to keep me here waiting for immigration papers for 12 years. They made a second mistake of saying I arrived here in 2006 instead of 1996. Like they are trying to cover up something.
I have felt before in my immigration process that our house was being visited while we were away. Things would go missing and then they would reappear. Now the receipt is gone. We tried to look into the form history on the computer and could not see that tracking number for that particular item even though we could easily see the number for the USA embassy envelope.
If I am wrong, I would love to receive my amended original confirmation record of landing. My lawyer has copies of the application and so do I. Go ahead and invade our privacy.
Canada did not have to give status and to treat me like this is beyond me. A close professional has told me that immigration will visit your house when one is not there. It really is not allowed yet they do it.
Please note, I am not going anywhere until I am sure I can get back. I am stubborn and also demand my right. If it means getting another confirmation of landing which is costly and almost impossible, then I will. I can wait. My child who would have taken me to Kenya by now is dead. Ma ya Ngai!
I am waiting.
Somebody is playing with God. Nobody f@cks with me. ....
